Description
Pale blue aquamarine is partially embedded within a dense white matrix, creating a subtle contrast with its raw, chalk-like surface. Small plates of muscovite appearing across the specimen introduce silvery reflections among the matte areas of the matrix.

Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin for seawater and has long been bound to maritime symbolism. Ancient mariners carried it as a talisman of
safe passage,
sometimes engraved with images of maritime deities, believing it offered
protection
and ensured a
safe return.
As a variety of beryl, it also inherited older associations with
